  • Do I need to be a part of the LGBTQ+ Community to join?

    There are four requirements for all members:

    Be a legally formed business

    • Support NMOBA's Mission
    • Pay annual dues or subscription dues investment
    • Have a business in New Mexico

    You do not have to identify as LGBTQ+. Allies are welcome with open arms.

  • How do I get LGBTBE Certified?

    Does your business meet the following criteria:


    • Majority (at least 51%) owned, operated, managed, and controlled by an LGBT person or persons who are either U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents
    • Exercises independence from any non-LGBT business enterprise
    • Has its principal place of business (headquarters) in the United States
    • Has been formed as a legal entity in the United States

    Did you answer yes to all of the questions above? If so, the first step towards LGBTBE® certification is to become a member of NMOBA. Through our affiliate partnership with the NGLCC, members that apply for the LGBTBE certification are eligible to have their application/certification fee waived. Your second step is to formally apply for the LGBTBE certification through the NGLCC.

  • I am considering starting a business. Can you help?

    Absolutely! 

    NMOBA has members and strategic partners, as well as regular webinars to support potential business owners. We can help you find capital, grants, and certifications, and connect you to community members doing the same. 

  • I would like to host an event. Can I?

    NMOBA hosts monthly mixers or get-togethers to connect our community and build relationships. 

    During our monthly breakfast, we offer a chance for guests to present their expertise. Our evening mixers are a great way to meet other members. We welcome our members to host these events! Please email us at info@nmoba.org
